Welcome to Essentials of Online Blended Learning (OBL) a practical journey from learning about OBL to learning by doing it. Rather than simply reading or listening, you will engage in discussions, practise new skills, apply concepts to real teaching contexts, create learning resources, and reflect on your practice. This approach recognises that active participation, practice, and application can make learning more meaningful and memorable.
Throughout this course, you will follow a progressive journey: Design → Develop → Facilitate → Assess. You will design an OBL course blueprint, develop an interactive multimedia learning unit, facilitate a blended learning session, and design appropriate assessment strategies. By the end, you will have moved beyond understanding OBL concepts to creating and demonstrating practical OBL solutions that you can apply in your own teaching context.
